Hope to Restore

At Camp Rock, we believe that God can turn any story into one of redemption and restoration. You can make a difference in the lives of children in our community. Let’s take this journey together!

The Camp Rock Difference

We believe in walking side by side with our families throughout their entire foster care journey. Our goal is to provide the resources families need every step of the way. We partner with the Department of Family and Children Services to help meet your needs as you meet the needs of the kids in your care.

Licensing

From your first General Information Session to your final approval, Camp Rock’s staff is dedicated to making the process of getting your home open as approachable as possible.

Support

Camps for your kiddos, support groups, continued training, special events… you name it and Camp Rock has it available to our families at no cost. We know fostering has it’s highs and lows and you can be sure that you won’t face any of them alone.

Case Management

In addition to an assigned case manager with the Department of Children and Families Services, you’ll have a dedicated Camp Rock Case Manager. This is an extra individual on your kiddo’s team, guiding and support you along the way.

How it works

Getting Licensed

01

Attend a General Information Session

During this session, you will learn all about Camp Rock of GA and a few of the ins and outs of foster care. The goal of this session is to help guide your decision to open your home or learn how you can support vulnerable kids in our community.

02

Complete NTDC

This series of classes is a state requirement intended to prepare you to open your home. From policies and procedures to trauma in children, these classes cover a variety of topics valuable to all foster families. All sessions must be completed before your home study can be completed.

03

Complete Your Home Study

Camp Rock will schedule at least 3 home visits with one of our Home Study Practitioners. These trained individuals will walk you through your paperwork, meeting state standards for your home, and compile the appropriate information to submit for state approval.

04

Agency and State Approval

Once all documents are complete and your home study is finalized, your file will be reviewed by our team. If a decision for Camp Rock approval is made, your file will be sent to the Georgia DHS for state approval. Once this approval is received, your home will be officially open to accept a foster child.
